|Véronique Branquinho Ready-To-Wear S/S13|
It has been three years since Véronique Branquinho last showed her collection. After discontinuing her label due to the economic crisis she worked as artistic director for the world’s oldest luxury-goods house Delvaux, released seasonal footwear collections with Spanish brand Camper and developed a capsule lingerie collection for Marie Jo. To relaunch her label she cooperated with Italian producer Gibò Co. SpA, the company that's also responsible for producing the collections of Antonio Berardi, John Galliano, Paul Smith and the in 2009 resurrected Rochas to name a few.
On the first day of Paris Fashion Week she made her comeback with a collection, she says, is "more adult, more elegant". Floor-length and over-the-knee gowns and skirts, pleats and stripes, a sophisticated variant of the denim style jacket in a colour pallet of black, white, nude, dark green and gold. She also reintroduced the upper arm bracelet, which I predicted to become the new accessory trend coming summer. I hope she's back to stay this time.
