I'm always a fan of (people who see) beauty in decay and matters that aren't widely accepted as being beautiful. What could possibly be beautiful or inspirational about old mattresses that are covered in stains and what not? Well, Glasgow based artist Adam Shield created a blog named Sleeping Patterns where he shows a collection of photographs of abandoned mattresses taken in and around his town. While most people look for discarded vintage furniture, Adam looks for mattresses. It astounds me how many photos he has taken already, since he's only been documenting them since October last year.
